Import file for MYOB

MYOB timesheet import file from approved hours

Start from the timesheet import file MYOB gives you. Vaultime fills it with approved hours in the same layout, codes and encoding, ready to import.

How it works

  1. Get MYOB's sample file

Download the timesheet import template or sample from MYOB. Vaultime keeps details like a first line of {} and the encoding older desktop versions need.

  2. Start from it in Vaultime

Payroll → Exports → New export → Start from your payroll's file. Vaultime reads the columns, separator, date style and encoding, and suggests what goes in each. You check every suggestion.

  3. Add your codes

Type the code each kind of hours has in your payroll (ordinary, overtime, Saturday…) beside your kinds.

  4. Check and download on pay day

Pick the pay period. The check lists anything to fix (a missing ID, a kind with no code) with the fix right there; then download the file.

  5. Import it into MYOB

Import the file in MYOB as you would any timesheet import, and check it there before you pay.

What it does

  • Matches MYOB's layout: columns, separator, date style, encoding and a first line such as {}.
  • Puts each kind of hours on your MYOB pay code.
  • Checks for missing IDs and codes before you download, and keeps every file in History.

What it doesn't do

  • It isn't a live connection: Vaultime makes the file, you import it into MYOB.
  • It calculates no pay: no rates, wages, tax, super or payslips.
  • It suggests no rules: the kinds and rules are yours.
