Payroll exports: the file your payroll imports
Approved hours, sorted into the kinds your payroll pays, in the exact file it imports. Start from your payroll's own sample file, check it before you download, and it's kept in History.
Your kinds, your rules
Name the kinds of hours you pay and write the rules: hours over 38 a week, Saturdays, public holidays, nights from 7 pm, day 6 in a row. Vaultime suggests none and calculates no pay.
From your payroll's sample
Upload the import template your payroll gives you. Vaultime reads its columns, separator and date style and suggests what goes in each; you check every one.
Any layout
A row per shift, day, week or pay period; kinds as rows, columns or code-and-hours pairs; CSV, Excel or fixed width; your codes, padding and wording.
A check before you pay
Hours not sorted into a kind, a missing Employee ID, a kind with no code: each problem says why and how to fix it, right there.
Straight to Xero Payroll
Send approved hours to Xero Payroll as draft timesheets, per person and pay calendar. Vaultime never approves or changes anything else in Xero.
History and Exported days
Every file is kept with what was in it, and days that went out show Exported. Change hours later and the next export says what changed.
Questions
Does Vaultime calculate pay?
No. It holds no pay rates and calculates no wages, tax, super or payslips. It sorts hours into kinds by your rules; your payroll pays them.
Which payroll software does it work with?
Any that imports a timesheet file (CSV, text, Excel or fixed width): start from the sample your payroll gives you. Xero Payroll also gets draft timesheets sent directly.
Who can run exports?
The Owner, and people the Owner gives payroll access to: fields, set-up, or running exports.
