Notifications

Who: everyone. Go to: the bell at the top of the sidebar (phone: More → Notifications). To turn push notifications on: Profile → Turn on on the Notifications are off on this device row.

Vaultime asks to send notifications only after saying why: in your first run in a workspace, from a one-time Dashboard card, or from Profile. It never asks just because you signed in. Tapped Not now? Turn them on from Profile whenever you like.

You're notified when something needs you or concerns you:

About Examples
Your time A week approved or rejected, a correction decided, a missed shift added for you, you forgot to clock out
Things to review (managers) A week submitted to you, a correction to decide, flagged punches, leave, cover or swap requests
Rosters New or changed shifts when a roster is published, a shift reminder, Not clocked in, open shifts you could take, answers to your requests
Leave and availability Your leave approved, declined, recorded or cancelled; a manager marking you unavailable
Everything else Support replies, feature-request updates and billing changes
  • Computer: the bell. Tap a notification to jump straight to it.
  • Phone: More → Notifications. The More button carries the unread badge.
  • Push: Android, iOS and web also get system notifications when the app is closed. Tapping one on a phone opens the right workspace and screen (after Face ID, if you use it). macOS and Windows show notifications only while the app is open.

More than one workspace? Notifications from all your workspaces appear together. Each carries a tag with its workspace name (highlighted when it's not the one you're in), and tapping it switches you there first. Push titles start with the workspace, e.g. Harbour Café · Leave request.

Example: Leo is looking at his own coffee-cart workspace when Harbour Café · Your week was approved arrives. He taps it; Vaultime switches to Harbour Café and opens that week in Timesheets.
