When the free trial ends
Who: everyone in the workspace; the Owner subscribes. When: 14 days after the workspace was created, if nobody has subscribed.
The workspace becomes read-only. Nothing is deleted.
| Still works | Paused until you subscribe |
|---|---|
| Signing in, seeing timesheets, rosters, reports and photos | New timesheets and submitting |
| Exporting reports and your data (Settings → Data and privacy) | Clocking in and out, including kiosks |
| Billing, for the Owner | Invites, approvals and roster changes |
| How-to questions to Ask Vaultime | Ask Vaultime questions about your data |
- The Owner sees Trial ended on the Dashboard and in Settings → My account, with Subscribe. Subscribing (on the web, or the Windows or Mac app) unlocks everything straight away; billing starts that day and the renewal date is a month from then.
- Everyone else sees a message to contact the Owner. Only the Owner can subscribe.
- Emails: the Owner is emailed when the trial starts, 3 days before it ends and when it ends.
- Your data is kept while the workspace is read-only after a trial. (After a paid subscription ends, the rules in What happens after the period ends apply instead.)
- Days left: Billing shows them during the trial. You can also ask Ask Vaultime "When does my trial end?".
- More trial days aren't available: each person gets one free trial. Message us from Help if something went wrong during yours.
Example: Priya's trial for Harbour Café ends on a Sunday. On Monday morning Tom opens Vaultime to clock in and is told the workspace is read-only and to contact Priya. Priya opens Settings → My account → Subscribe on her laptop, pays, and Tom can clock in a minute later.
