Help someone who's locked out of 2FA
Who: Super Admins, for Admins and Employees; the Owner, for other Super Admins too. Go to: People → the person → Sign-in and devices → Reset 2FA (shown when they have 2FA on).
If a teammate forgot their password and lost their authenticator app:
- Open them on People, tap Reset 2FA and confirm. Their 2FA switches off, their passkeys are removed, and they're notified.
- They sign in with their password (or use Forgot password?), then turn 2FA back on in Profile.
If you have 2FA yourself, you're asked for your own code first. The Owner's own 2FA can only be reset by Vaultime Support (support@vaultime.io), after checking who's asking.
Example: Tom's phone was stolen along with his authenticator app. Priya opens Tom on People, taps Reset 2FA and enters her own code. Tom resets his password, signs in and sets up 2FA on his new phone.
