Invite several people

Who: Super Admins and Admins (Admins invite Employees only). Go to: People → Invite → Several people (or Invite your team on the setup checklist).

1. Give the list one of three ways: Upload a spreadsheet (CSV or Excel; Download the template for the right columns), Type them in (a card per person, with your fields), or Paste a list (one person per line: jo@example.com, Jo Smith <jo@example.com> or Jo Smith, jo@example.com). A column headed Email is used for addresses; Name (or First name and Last name), Role, Clocks in and Tags (e.g. Green; Bar) are picked up too, and any column named like one of your fields (Employee ID, State) fills it in. Several picks go in one cell with ;. Up to 500 people.
2. Tap Check the list. Every row is checked before anything is sent, including its fields (Employee ID is needed, or "Austrlia" isn't one of its choices. Did you mean Australia? with Use Australia; Fix fields fills them in): Will be invited, Not a valid email (fix it in place, then Check again), Already on this list, Already a member, Already invited (switch on Send the already-invited ones again to resend), Invited before (reopens their invitation) or That's you.
3. Read the Your team is growing card at the top (below).
4. Tap Tag everyone to give the whole list tags (see Tags and teams); remove one from a person with its ×. Tag names that don't exist yet are listed as New tags and made when you send.
5. Set each person's role, Employee or Admin (Super Admin only), and, when Clock in is on, whether they Clock in or Type hours.
6. Tap Send. Ten or more asks once more. Everyone on the list is invited, or no one is, and it can't be sent twice by accident. The screen shows the emails going out (9 of 12 sent); you can close it at any time.

The "Your team is growing" card shows people now → with this list, a face for each person (the new ones highlighted with a +), and progress to the next team milestone (5, 10, 25, 50, 100 people and up). Underneath is what it does to your bill:

• On the trial: free, covering up to 5 people (counting people who've joined and invitations waiting). If the list is longer, tap Invite the first N now, or Choose a plan to invite everyone; the list waits on the screen.
• On a plan: the monthly price before and after, e.g. US$7.00 → US$10.00 a month (+US$3.00), GST included. New people are charged only once they join, adjusted for the days left in the month.
• If you own more than one workspace: your plan counts each person once across all your workspaces. So the card counts the same way: people on your plan now → with this list, with a smaller line for this workspace alone.

Example: Priya owns Harbour Café (6 people) and a second workspace, Harbour Catering (3 people). Two people work in both, so her plan covers 7 people. She pastes three new baristas into Harbour Café's list. The card shows 7 people on your plan now → 10 with this list, the line Across your 2 workspaces, each person once. This workspace: 6 → 9, and US$7.00 → US$10.00 a month (+US$3.00). The bill is US$10, not US$9, because the one person who's only in Harbour Catering is a seat too.
