Publish it

Go to: Roster → Publish (it shows how many changes are waiting).

  1. Tap Publish.
  2. Confirm. Each person affected gets one notification (in the app and as a phone push) saying what changed for them, in words: up to 3 shifts, e.g. Sat 4 Oct 9:00 am → Sun 5 Oct 9:00 am – 5:00 pm, Gate A or Sat 4 Oct: now 10:00 am – 6:00 pm (was 9:00 am – 5:00 pm); with more, a summary such as 5 changes to your shifts (2 new, 2 moved, 1 cancelled), 4–12 Oct. Break and note changes are mentioned (never the note's text). Tapping it opens My shifts at that week. Nobody is told about a change you undid before publishing.

After publishing, editing a shift marks it changed; staff keep seeing the published version until you publish again. Removing a published shift marks it for cancellation, and the person is told when you publish.

Example: Priya taps Publish (18). Maya gets one notification: Your roster for 6–12 Oct is out: 5 shifts. On Saturday Priya moves Maya's Monday to 8:00; it shows Changed until she publishes again, and then Maya is told Monday changed to 8:00–4:00.
