Reminders, lateness and no-shows
When your workplace uses Clock in, the roster and the clock work together:
| What happens | When | Who is told |
|---|---|---|
| Shift reminder (or the lock-screen countdown) | Before the shift starts (Settings → Roster → Shift reminder) | The person |
| Late flag | Clocking in later than Late after (e.g. 5 min) | Shown on the entry for the approver |
| No-show | Not clocked in No-show after (e.g. 15 min) the start | The person and the managers |
| Arrived after a no-show | They clock in later | The managers get a follow-up |
| Left before rostered finish flag | Clocking out well before the end | Shown on the entry |
| Not rostered flag | Clocking in with no shift, if that setting is on | Shown on the entry |
A no-show is only reported when the person could actually clock in: the workspace isn't locked, the site is active, and they're allowed to clock in there. Flags only come from real punches. If someone forgets to clock out of a rostered shift, it's closed at the rostered finish and marked Forgot to clock out.
Example: Harbour Café uses Late after 5 min and No-show after 15 min. Leo is rostered 7:00. He clocks in at 7:09, so his entry shows Late 9 min. Had he not clocked in by 7:15, he and Tom would both have been told.
