Say when you can't work

Who: everyone, if the workplace allows it. Go to: My shifts → When you can't work → Add.

  1. Choose On a date (one day or a range, like a holiday) or Every week (tick the days, with an optional end date).
  2. Leave All day on, or turn it off and set the times.
  3. Add a reason if you like. Only your managers see it.
  4. Tap Save.

Your managers see it on the roster, and get a warning if they give you a shift then. If it clashes with a shift you've already been given, they're told straight away. Tap an entry to change or remove it.

Managers: unavailable times show in each person's row on the roster (and as Can't work chips on phones and in Month view); tap one to see or change it. To add one for someone, tap the calendar-cross icon (phone: ⋮ → Mark someone unavailable). They're told. Nothing is ever blocked: you can still roster them.

Example: Maya has uni every Tuesday and Thursday until June. She adds Every week, ticks Tue and Thu, turns off All day, sets 8:00 am–1:00 pm, and an end date of 30 June. Her row on the roster shows Off 8a–1p on those days.
