5. Clocking in and out
Who: everyone who clocks in, when the workplace has switched Clock in on. Go to: the Clock card at the top of the Dashboard or Timesheets.
Clocking in records when you really started and stopped. Each shift becomes a draft entry in Timesheets by itself, ready to submit. Your workplace chooses how you clock in, and the Clock card only shows the ways that are switched on:
| Way | How | Location used? |
|---|---|---|
| Phone | Tap Clock in on the Clock card | Yes, once, at that moment |
| Scan kiosk code | Tap Scan code and point your camera at the code on the shared tablet | No |
| Printed site code | Tap Scan code and point your camera at the code printed at your site | Yes, once, at that moment |
| Kiosk: name + PIN | Tap your name on the shared tablet and enter your PIN | No |
| Kiosk: phone badge | Show the badge in your app to the shared tablet's camera | No |
If none of the phone ways are on, the card says Clock in and out at your workplace's kiosk.
When you see the Clock card. It's full size while you're clocked in, when a rostered shift starts within two hours, or when a shift needs a finish time. The rest of the time it's a slim bar with the Clock in button. It's hidden on days you're on approved leave, and if your workplace has set you up to type your hours instead.
