Give someone access to photos

Who: any key holder. Go to: Settings → Data and privacy → Photo protection, or the prompt that appears on its own.

When someone becomes an Admin or Super Admin in a protected workspace, they wait for a key holder before they can see everyone's photos. (They can always see their own.)

  1. A key holder opening Vaultime sees Give Kim access to photos? (or taps Give access next to their name in Photo protection).
  2. Check Kim's security code with her (in person or on a call): it's in her Profile → Photo keys.
  3. Hold the fingerprint button for a second, then confirm with your Face ID, Touch ID or fingerprint (where your device has it). Kim can open photos straight away.
  • Kim needs her photo key set up first: it's made automatically the first time she opens the app on a phone or computer, or she can set it up in a browser.
  • Who's waiting: Photo protection lists them, or ask Ask Vaultime "Who's waiting for access to photos?".
  • When someone stops being a key holder (made an Employee, removed, or leaves), their access ends at once and a new workspace key is used for new photos. A key holder's device does this automatically the next time Vaultime opens.

Example: Sam makes Kim an Admin. The next time Sam opens Vaultime on his phone he's asked Give Kim access to photos?. He checks the six words match Kim's screen and holds the fingerprint button to approve.
