Job sites
Who: Admins and Super Admins. Go to: Settings → Sites → Job sites → Add job site, or from the roster: Add shift → Site → New job site.
For work at changing addresses: a tiler, cleaner or builder on a new job each week. A job site is a site with its job (a project, with a job number and client), an optional end date and access notes.
- Search the address, drop the pin, or tap Use my location on site (handy on a new estate with no street address yet). The time zone is set from the pin.
- Set the boundary: up to 1,000 m for a job site, so a big building site fits.
- Pick the Job, or New job with its name, job number and client.
- Optionally set Work ends and Access notes (a gate code, where to park).
- Tap Save. You're offered to print the job's code to stick up on site.
After the end date, once no shifts are left there, the job site moves to Archived by itself. Rostering someone there brings it back, and so does Restore job site. In site lists, workplaces have a shopfront icon and job sites a cone, with the address underneath.
What staff see: on their own shifts in My shifts, Where to go shows the address with Directions from 7 days before the shift, and the access notes from 12 hours before it until it ends. Employees never see the whole list of job sites, and clients are for managers only.
Example: Sam wins a bathroom job at 22 Ocean Rd for Coastal Homes. From the roster he taps Add shift → Site → New job site, searches the address, picks New job Ocean Rd Bathroom, job number CH-207, client Coastal Homes Pty Ltd, sets Work ends to 31 Oct and Access notes Side gate, code 4417, and saves. Jake sees the address in My shifts from a week before.
