Rostering a day across jobs
Who: Admins and Super Admins. Go to: Roster → add two shifts for the same person on the same day.
To send someone to two jobs in one day, add two shifts, say 7:00–11:00 at 14 Smith St and 12:00–3:30 at 22 Ocean Rd. When the second starts within an hour of the first one's finish, at a different site, the shift sheet shows Continues from 7:00–11:00 at 14 Smith St, ticked. That makes it one working day:
- One clock-in covers both, and the second shift shows as attended while they're on the day. No no-show alert while they're driving.
- The Clock card shows Next: 22 Ocean Rd, and arriving there is checked against it.
- The day finishes with the last shift: auto-closing, leaving early, the break question and pay by roster all see the whole day (from the first start to the last finish, less the rostered breaks).
Untick it for a separate shift. The same site after a gap (a split shift) is never joined up. On the roster, a shift that continues the one before shows a small ↳ arrow. The site filter at the top also lists Clients: pick one to see only shifts for that client's jobs.
Example: Sam rosters Jake as above and leaves Continues from… ticked. Jake clocks in once at 7:00, taps Move to next job at 11:00, and clocks out at 3:30. Nobody gets a Not clocked in alert at 12:00.
Setting up a trades business: in the setup questions, choosing trades or field work offers On job sites at the Where do people work? step, and the checklist asks for your first job site.
